Maximum concentration of testosterone in the blood plasma occurs in 4-5 hours after oral use of Testosterone pills. Thus the appearance of side effects increases namely in this period of time. However, side effects are usually mild after the use of Testosterone pills, so they require no symptomatic treatment.
Testosterone therapeutic doses stay in the body within 7-8 hours and later excreted from the body with urine. In order to keep testosterone concentration optimal in the man’s body, oral pills should be taken maximum two times a day, every 10-12 hours. More frequent use of Testosterone pills is not recommended.
Regardless of hormonal imbalance severity, the average dose of Testosterone must not exceed 160mg. Exceeding of the maximum recommended Testosterone dose can cause overdose. Overdose of testosterone provoke severe side effects (nausea, vomiting). Thus in case of overdose, man should stop using Testosterone pills and make stomach lavage.
